The Cape Cod Museum of Art will present an exhibit of her photography,  The Dune Shack Experience, from November 20 to January 24, 2011. The images were taken over a five-year period during three residencies at the C-Scape dune shack in Provincetown.

Foster lived in the dune shack alone in late autumn without electricity, running water or an indoor toilet. “Each time I left this primitive sanctuary, I was reluctant to return to the outside world,” she says. “It's amazing how satisfying a simple life can be. Without all the distractions, there is time to think and absorb the beauty and the truths of the natural world.“ The exhibit will include her dune diary as well as background sounds of the surf and sea.
